Teacher Highlight of the week...Meet Chris

Last week we were pleased to announce the addition of Rilee to our famiy here at Tikkun Olam and now this week we are just as excited to introduce you to Chris!! Chris and Rilee come to us as a package deal and we couldn't be more thrilled about it. They will be getting married in December and all of us here at Tikkun Olam are pleased to have a Godly couple starting their life together with us up on the Reservation.

Although we know they will make a great team together, individually they bring so much to the table. Here is a short bio on Chris to give you a better idea of the great man the Lord has lead to our community,

Chris recently graduated from Calvary University with a degree in Biblical Counseling and Bible. Chris grew up in central Illinois where he spent his time involved with church activities, sports, and reading. God has been preparing him for this ministry for many years as he studied counseling and had an internship with Liberty Bible Church in Eureka, Il., both of which Chris believes will be of great help in his new role as a teacher at North Side School. 

Chris is excited for this next step in life, no longer the student but now a teacher. His passions for learning and mentoring will serve him well as he goes into North Side as a 6th grade science teacher! Chris hopes he is able to serve the Wolf Point community through whatever means are available, either by teaching, coaching, church work, or just living daily life with the people there. He plans on beginning respite foster care with his fiancée, Rilee, and then will transition into long term care and maybe adoption when the time comes. No matter what role Chris steps into, he just wants to be glorifying God and serving those around him
